QnA
Q1. When is Lucinate (veneers) a good fit? How is it different from whitening and orthodontics?
Lucinate is a cosmetic front-tooth treatment best suited for improving both tooth color and shape at once — ideal for discoloration, slight gaps, uneven shape, or mild misalignment. Unlike whitening (color only) or orthodontics (repositioning teeth, which takes much longer), Lucinate addresses color, shape, and alignment together in a short period.
A consultation will help determine whether orthodontics or Lucinate is the better fit for you.
Q2. How long does Lucinate last? What about aftercare(warranty)?
Lucinate is made from high-strength e.max ceramic, offering durability close to natural teeth, and can last for many years with proper care.
Lucid Dental Clinic's aftercare (warranty) period varies by type — 3 years for Classic, 5 years for Premier, and 10 years for The Lucinate.
We recommend avoiding hard or sticky foods for the first 3 months after bonding; after that, you can treat your veneers just like your own teeth.
Q3. Does getting Lucinate require shaving down a lot of natural tooth structure?
Lucinate involves minimal tooth preparation — refining the surface by only about 0.01–0.1 mm before bonding a custom ceramic veneer.
This avoids the common drawbacks of no-prep veneers, such as teeth looking bulky or protruding, while still preserving as much of your natural tooth as possible.
The exact amount of preparation depends on your individual tooth condition and desired result.
Q4. Can I get Lucinate if I already have existing veneers?
Yes, you can. Lucid is well known as a clinic where patients come for laminate retreatment. The director has extensive experience handling retreatment cases.
However, the possibility depends on the condition of your teeth after removing the old veneers, so a professional consultation is required beforehand.
Q5. How much does Lucinate cost, and how many visits does it take?
Pricing depends on the Lucinate type, warranty period, and your tooth condition, confirmed after a consultation.
Classic takes 7–10 days, Premier is typically completed in one day, and The Lucinate (offered as either One Day or One Week) comes with the longest warranty.
